Old Friends, New Friends!

While I was in Provo I was able to see a few old friends (new friends to Lucas!). First I saw my friend Elizabeth and her son Hudson. Elizabeth and I grew up together in Spokane, and our kids Lucas and Hudson were born just a few weeks apart. It was great to see her and catch up on what's been going on in our lives. Lucas and Hudson played about as well as you would expect a couple of 2-yr-olds to play together! We went swimming and then out to lunch at McDonalds. The boys had a lot of fun playing on the toys, and Lucas had a breakthrough! He generally thinks that tubes are "scary," but he went right in! He must have wanted to be brave like Hudson!
Tuesday night, Victoria and her son James were driving through town, and they stopped to stay at Sean and Jen's house for a night. Victoria, Jennifer, and I were in the same ward when we were all first married, and we met because we served on the Enrichment Committee together. We had so much fun visiting together. Victoria has been such a wonderful example of an amazingly happy and patient mother. After she had James, she said, "Remember how excited you were to get married? And how that was the best day of your life? Having a kid is 100 times better!" She's now pregnant with #3! James is the little boy playing with the exercise ball in the video.

I also got to see my roommate Sarah. We met our freshman year at BYU and we were stuck together like glue! We had many fun/crazy/silly experiences together--hair-dying parties, dressing up like idiots, sharing clothes (by that, I mean me wearing her clothes :) ), eating all hours of the day (and night!), Sarah tearing her ACL on our first run down the slopes, and driving to Mesquite to name a few. Sarah was also one of my bridesmaids. We did some shopping and took Lucas to the mall to play and eat. I still can't believe that our college experience is over! I miss the fun times I had with Sarah!

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to see me!!! I can't wait to see you all again! I'm grateful for your friendships, the lessons I've learned from you all, and the memories we share.

Here's a video starring Lucas, Hudson, Thomas, and James. I think that's everyone....
