Every so often something new will happen, and I'll think, "Wow! We're really grown-ups!" It's still kind of hard to believe! Anyway, tonight was one of those nights: we hired our first paid babysitter for Lucas. And it was WORTH IT!
We went to our friends' Kevin and Stephanie's engagement party. So, Breeona came to our house to play with Lucas and the babysitter. Clint and I had a great couple of hours out visiting and eating--and not chasing a 2-year-old!
Breeona and Lucas had a really fun time eating fruit roll-ups buffet style and jumping all over the furniture. They also got to stay up REALLY late! Lucas could barely keep his eyes open by the time we put him in bed (neither could Clint!).
It was an exciting night! I'm not sure who had the better night-the kids or the adults! We'll have to do date night more often now that we've conquered the finding-a-babysitter-and-leaving-your-child milestone!!!

Looks like things worked out great! I am glad the kid-o's had fun and you guys too.
A night without kids is so blissful! Sometimes growing up isn't such a bad thing.
It is always great to get out as a couple. I am counting the days till you get here!
