Valley of Fire

Friday night we went camping at Valley of Fire with some of our friends. It was a lot of fun! Get ready for LOTS of pictures! Our last couple of camping trips have been freezing cold, so the warm weather was nice! Alison picked the perfect spot for us to camp:
The crew:Alison, Steve and Kim, Brad and Danielle, Clint and I, Curtis, and Steve Thanks for taking the picture, Sharlene! :)
We had an awesome dinner! Each family was in charge of one Dutch Oven. We had 2 types of delicious chicken, potatoes, beans, and cake! Yum!!!

Our camping spot had lots of great rocks for climbing and plenty of sand.

Lucas eating some dirt (with Treyson). See video below!
Ella and Lucas enjoying their cake!
Lucas cooking his first marshmallow. He ate one bite and spit out the second one.
Mmmmm, chips for breakfast!!! Along with eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. Camping is all about the eating!
Lucas and Clint having an early morning snuggle. Lucas slept really well! Once he cried himself to sleep anyway. :)
Check out this train! Carson is the conductor!!
Lizard and dinosaur bone hunting!!! We saw a few lizards that were quite long!
Lizard tongues!!
Us! The rocks at Valley of Fire are amazing.
Here are a few video clips:

It was a great camping trip! We're going to miss all of our friends when they move away! :(

Great pics, I didn't get that many. I will need copies of yours! That was so fun, we need to do Charleston before we go!

That is the challenge of dutch ovens. Keeping dirt out. Which items did you make? Do you have to make a reservation to camp at Valley of Fire? Looks like you had a blast and what a great activity for friends and kids.

Looks like a lot of fun. Wish we were there. You'll have to let me know how to find that camping spot because it looks like the perfect place.

Diane-I made the cake. I had made it before. Better-Than-Sex cake! It was pretty tasty!

You don't have to make reservations at Valley of Fire, but it does fill up pretty fast-by 2 or 3.

Lindsey-We were in the Walk-In Campsites at the Atlatl Campground. It was perfect!
