When I went to my OB appointment today, the nurse practitioner thought the baby had an irregular heartbeat. So they sent me to a different office to have an ultrasound and be monitered. But...false alarm! Everything is fine. I did learn some fun things though!
*Our baby really is a girl!
*She has a big, round head! It's in the 96th percentile. She's actually just big! All of her percentiles are in the 70-80th percentiles. She's measuring approximately 13 days ahead of schedule!
*She weighs 6 lbs. 5 oz.
*She has hair.
*Her heart is functioning just fine!
I asked the doctor if I could hope for an early delivery, or if she would just be a big baby. He said just a big baby! Bummer. :) He guessed 8-8 1/2 pounds.
We still haven't picked a name.... Nothing is really jumping out at us!
This pregnancy has been a lot better than the last one! I haven't felt sick for a couple of months. I do feel pretty tired, but that could just be from LUCAS!!! :) The only things I've really "craved" have been plain yogurt and ice. I don't really like the plain yogurt, but it fills me up. Regular yogurt leaves me with a yucky feeling.
Only 5 weeks left!

OooOO! How about "Bella"?
You could always name her after yourself. "Natalie" is a very nice name...
(That was a joke about Bella, you know. You could try Alice or Esme or Rosalie--they'd all be the same, I think. But NOT Nessie.)
Please not Nessie!
You can already tell that she is BEAUTIFUL!!
How exciting!!!!!! A baby girl soon. Glad you are feeling well. Sorry that they made you feel scared even for a short while.

Here's a link if you need more ideas. I'm sure it will come to you at some point.
Isn't it ovbious?
Leiah!
i'm glad she's healthy!! that must've been scary!! i love that ultrasound picture! you can totally see her face! she's so cute!
Too bad you can't go early! I'm hoping for that too. They've been monitoring me because I have like twice the amount of fluid I'm supposed to. I'm SO uncomfortable.
Good luck with the names! :)
I vote for Bella :) but not Renesmee!! You could be like Bella and join a couple names together...
Natina is the best that I can come up with. LOL
She looks so pretty! I am glad things are all good.
So glad things are ok with you! It is fun to see them before they arrive and then compare them in person. I look back at Abbie's ultrasounds and try to see her features. Your little one looks perfect! Good luck with names. It took over a day after Abbie was born to finally decide. I actually knew all along...it was convincing Mike it was the right name! Now we can't imagine her anything else...she is our sweet Abbie...hey...Abbie is a great name (hint hint!)
Hang tough these last weeks...they are hard! Vegas heat has to be a killer!
Take care,
Colleen
A big baby well just a word of comfort, Trey was big 8 15 and the nice thing, they seem to be pretty happy babies. Now about names... hum well I think I am pulling my vote for Clint's Leia. Just so you can keep up the Star Wars theme! By the way you did a great job at book club.
We like them chunky! I will still hope you deliver early!
I can't believe that you only have 5 weeks left!!!! CRAZY!! Do you feel ready? Glad to hear that you're feeling good and everything with this pregnancy is going well! Wish I could help with a name. Anie is a good one! :) Or name her Melanie and call her Anie! I like the name Melanie just because it has my name in it! If we used that name we'd call her Mel though. Cute huh!?!
Big baby girls are the BEST.....and even if you go late it is ok too....I was two weeks late and they put me on bed rest and I finally got to rest before she was born....just remember from your teaching days that funny spellings on names are not so cute when they go to school and a substitute doesn't know how to spell her name..not that you would make that mistake..but remember the girl named Abcde....not a good idea!
Nat I am so excited for you! Hope everything goes well from here on out. Good Luck! Miss you guys!
So glad it was a false alarm! Can not believe you have only 5ish weeks left :). Hopefully she stays in the 8 pound range...that already makes me hurt. ;) Glad all is well and also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lucas! Take care, can't wait for pics of her!
Yes, I do see her little sweet face. After 5 kids kids you get pretty good at figuring out ultra sounds. Glad everything is ok!
As far as names go, you should put a poll on your blog and let us vote on it. I like the name Calliandra. Its a plant that grows here in the desert, also known as the baja fairy duster. You could call her Calli for short. I also like Angelie, pronounced like Ann Julie, only with the accent on the first syllable. I met a girl the other day with that name and thought it was unique and pretty.
Briella, Kara Lynn, Whitney Kristine, and Elaina Renee where names we considered for Holly and Sara. I've always liked Nadine, its my sister's middle name, but mark hated it. When it came to naming my kids I could always find really great names but none of them seemed right for my baby.
I can't believe you are almost due! Whoa! She looks like a real baby unlike some skeleton thing like they usually do. Glad its heart looked good and that its really a girl. I still dont 100% believe ours is a girl. Good luck!
