I love holidays! It gives us an "excuse" to do something fun and different. Today we went up to Mt. Charleston with Wyatt and Megan for a hike and a picnic. The weather was perfect! About 70 degrees! We decided to do the Robbers' Roost hike. It was only 20-30 minutes each way, but it was uphill and quite rocky. Lucas kept asking to be carried during the semi-flat parts, but once we got to the rocks, he became a true rock climber! He had so much fun and had to do everything by himself, of course!

At the top there were some caves. In the "olden days," Robbers' Roost was a hideout for bandits!
Lucas performed some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse songs for us while we were hiking:
It was such a fun day!!!

I like the hole in the rock pictures. I can imagine how this spot got named. The green meadow is pretty too.
I too was glad the weather is starting to cool down today. I am so excited that it is hiking season finally, not to mention that my grass needs to be weeded.
I have to say Luke is such and entertainer! We haven't hiked much in Mt Charleston. It looks like a lot of fun. We are glad that you have family here to spend time with.
This will be our next hike to Mt. Charleston! I do love the weather up there :)
Aren't you due in like a month and you are hiking?! You are quite the woman. I am proud of you, but please be careful. I know you want her out, but not on a mountain...thanks for letting me know you have a blog!
That sounds so fun. I'm glad it wasn't too hot up there. I can't believe you did that while being pregnant...good for you. Happy Birthday to Lucas, he is such a cutie!
