Since we were down at the strip, we went and saw the Chinese New Year gardens at the Bellagio. They were beautiful! I loved all of the different orchids and the pineapple!

The next day we went to the Natural History Museum. It was so fun! Lucas was really excited to see the dinosaurs, but once we got there, he was terrified!
But he touched a Bearded Dragon and a California King Snake! It was a big week for him. He's generally not interested in being near animals. We happened to be in the live animal room as the volunteer was feeding the animals. It was so cool to see and learn about them!
The museum also has a ton of stuffed animals. Here is Lucas as a bear and a jaguar.

These eels are just kind of creepy! Lucas hates it when I try to get him to turn his back on the animal so I can take his picture.
As my grandpa said, we educated ourselves this week and experienced some culture! All in great company! We had an excellent week. We were so glad that my grandparents came to visit.
(My grandparents bought Lucas a numbers book that you can write in with a dry-erase marker. He sat with my grandma and did the whole book. Twice! I couldn't believe that he sat that long).

Nat...that is awesome that your grandparents came to visit. What fun memories for Lucas of his great grandparents. We miss you guys!!
The pictures where Lucas is a bear and a jaguar remind me of Calvin and Hobbes when Calvin pretends to be a dinosaur. It is cracking me up!
SO fun! The pictures of Lucas being a bear and jaguar were absolutely fantastic!
