Our baby girl is one already! She started off her birthday morning (the 24th) with Lucky Charms for breakfast! 
Then we went to a water park. She went through the water a little, but it made her angry!!!
That night we took her to Chuck E. Cheese's. She had a good time on the rides and loved running around in a new, busy place. She really loved her sucker!
She also opened a couple of presents--a stroller and a baby piggy bank from Lucas. She discovered her stroller hiding in the closet a few days before her birthday. She kept grunting and trying to get it out! So she was happy to be able to play with it!
Lucas kept saying, "Let's pretend this is my piggy bank."
Friday night we had a little party for her. Her guests were: Grandpa Biasi, Grandma Diane, Uncle Leo, Aunt Nadia, Uncle Wyatt, Aunt Megan, Leah, Ally, and Chloe. She received lots of great gifts! She made the best faces when she opened her new cups. She loves cups.
She thought it was funny that we were all watching her as we sang Happy Birthday. She thought her cupcake was delicious.
At 12 months, Kaitlin can walk and is trying to run. She eats only table food. She will try most foods if she sees you eating them. She sleeps through the night and takes two 2-3 hour naps. She loves to watch her brother and drink out of his cups. She has figured out that he doesn't like it when she takes his toys. She will pick them up, and then when he shouts, she'll throw or hand them back. She is becoming more opinionated! If she doesn't want something, she will throw or hit it away. Words she understands: Daddy, Mommy, Lucas, uh oh, dance, clap, kiss. She can say mama and uh oh. Although she loves me best, she is a very friendly baby! She only needs a couple of minutes to get used to new people. She loves Clint and doesn't mind when I leave her home. She will also play by herself! She weighs 23 lbs (83rd percentile) and is 30 1/2 inches long (68th percentile).
We love seeing her grow and learn new things, but we wish she would just stay little! We love our sweet, sweet girl! Kate has been such an easy and lovable baby. Happy Birthday, Katie Pie!

Happy Birthday Little Lady! you are one lucky one year old. you got the world's best mom and dad! they loved you before you were born and I knew after they babysat Emme and changed a nasty diaper that they were in for parent stardom! and you made it all possible! you gute thing, you!
Its amazing how these children come to us with their own personalities. I am so blessed to have Katie as my grand daughter and to have her raised by Natalie.
There will be lots of big smiles, and good natured women in the family.
