Snow Fun!

Since it did not snow even one time while we were in Spokane, we had to create our own snow fun! The kids had a great time eating and playing in the leftover shoveled snow.

Cute Gianna!
We built a snowman in a neighbor's yard. They had the biggest pile of snow that we could find! Poor Kate was so bundled up that she could hardly move. This picture was taken just minutes before she took a face dive into a puddle! We headed home after that!

I love this picture. Can you see Lucas' snowball that's about to hit my mom? Great action shot!
We built a small village of snowpeople. They met a very unfortunate end!My grandparents live a little higher up, so they had just enough snow to sled.
Crash!

One day we went ice-blocking! It was so much fun!!
(I know-my pants are awesome! I wore them into a gas station. I stood in line behind a family of foreigners, and they could not believe their eyes. They started talking and gesturing excitedly-in disbelief, I think-at my pants. The dad had to stand on tiptoe and crane his neck around the mom to get a good look. I just smiled. It was hilarious. I guess wearing pjs in public is not accepted in other countries). After ice-blocking, we went "skating" on a frozen puddle. Lucas loved being dragged around, but he did not love people jumping on the ice! It made him very nervous. He kept shouting for them to stop.Thomas got a big talking to from Lucas after this happened:
I laughed so hard! :)
So, no snow turned out to be great! Driving was so much easier and we still had tons of fun! I don't even think Lucas noticed that it didn't really snow!

I love your pj bottoms! I have been wearing my flannel/plaid (sp?) pj bottoms this winter (they are from my college sorority days...nearly 10 years ago). We went to the good will and Mia saw a similar pattern and said "Mom! These are just like the ones you have!" Maybe some else just had better judgment to finally get rid of theirs...not me, I'm keeping my forever!

Ice blocking! That is what we need to do. Since the day after Christmas we drove all over to find snow to sled on... but no luck! I also have a great pair of plaid pj bottoms from highschool except this winter they bit the dust... one year too long, I guess! Miss you guys already.
