May Already?

I thought I didn't have anything to blog about, but then I downloaded the pictures from our camera and found I was wrong!! Here is what we've been up to!

Kate's version of Darth Vader! She walks around like this bumping into things and breathing like Darth Vader.
I made the mistake of letting her help with the dishes once, and now that's all she wants to do! If she's in the kitchen, she's trying to drag a chair to the sink! This activity definitely requires at least one beach towel!Lucas and Kate had a lot of fun playing in the backyard with about 1 inch of water in a bin. Kaitlin came in totally soaked! Lucas was proud of how wet he was able to get her! Here is Kate in the the "Time Out" spot. She has been hitting a lot!
Oh, they're so cute!We went to a playgroup at Sunset Park. Lucas and Kaitlin did not have fun. They both screamed and yelled about the geese. The geese were all on the grass and very onery! I think they didn't like us too close to their babies! They are honking in the picture.
Kate, following her beloved big brother. Lucas made sure to steer them clear of any geese, while shouting at me to get on the path so I would be safe too.
Clint went to Phoenix for the weekend for a boys' weekend/bachelor party. To fill our Saturday, we hung out with Leah, Ally, and Chloe. Leah and I were Super Moms!!! We went to the Home Depot workshop, then to the park for bike-riding, then off to Lakeshore learning for a craft, Wendy's for lunch, and then swimming!!!! Wowee! Lucas put himself down for a nap after his quiet time movie. (He has been totally obsessed with the old cartoon movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. He has watched it a million times). Clint visited Tombstone on his trip and brought back some fun souvenirs! A bow and arrow and a badge for Lucas and a pink gun and holster for Kaitlin.Today we went to Veterans' Memorial Park in Boulder City with our playgroup to feed the ducks. Kate said to Ellie, "Hold you." So cute. The splash pad was turned on, but we were unprepared. The kids didn't care!! They got soaked in their clothes and had the best time! (Kaitlin did not enjoy the splash pad at all). I thought the splash pads turned on over Memorial Day weekend, but I was wrong! May 1st was the magical day!
*Lucas and I were upstairs, but we were listening to music playing on the computer downstairs. Kate went downstairs, knocked the computer over, and turned off the music. When she headed back upstairs, Lucas was waiting!!
Lucas, stern voice: Kaitlin. Kaitlin, come here. Worth it! You're worth it!

When she got to the top, he put his arm around her and steered her into my bedroom. Then he got down to eye level with her and held her by the shoulders.
Lucas: Kaitlin, why did you turn off the music? (Pause). Time out!

He sat her down and walked out to me.

Lucas: I put her in time out because she didn't answer me.

Me: Can Kaitlin talk?

Lucas: ...No. Ha ha ha!!!!

We both had a good laugh! I guess he knows the time out routine! I'm not sure where the whole "worth it" thing came from!

Carson saw a picture of Lucas on this post and said, "That's Lucas! He's my best friend. He always says Hi to me and is nice to me".
