The day finally arrived--Lucas' first day of kindergarten! He is so big and so handsome!!!! I picked out his button-up shirt, which he said he hated. I promised he could pick his outfit (almost) every other day.
But once he got into the classroom with his buddies, Max and Aden, he was okay!! Hopefully these three boys won't cause too much trouble!



Saying good-bye to his sis! She has been napping while he's at school, and when it's time to get up to go to the bus stop, she's always so excited! When he gets off the bus, she runs up to hug him everytime. It's so sweet.

Lucas rides the bus to and from school. He LOVES it. He wasn't crazy about kindergarten for the first couple weeks but he hasn't had any qualms about the bus.

This picture makes me laugh!!! Max and Lucas are so grown up! They are wearing their favorite colors to school for a class activity.

Recap of the past couple of weeks: Lucas cried a little bit each day at school for the first week. He said he just missed me. On Tuesday, after Labor Day weekend, he did not want to go back to school. He cried so much that I couldn't put him on the bus! I drove him that day and then we had playdates with his school friends for the rest of the week. He was too busy playing with them to really pay attention to the fact that he was being sent off to school. Before school today, he said, "I don't want to go to school! No wait, I do." :) He's gotten so into the habit of complaining! He had to stop himself! After school, he said, "I love kindergarten!" Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I was so happy! It has been a rough couple of weeks with a surly boy!!! But he's finally getting into the swing of things! Gooooo, Lucas!

I cannot believe he is that big, I am already freaking out that Wyatt is heading to full day kindergarten next year. I love his first day of school shirt, he looks like a mini Clint!
