Portland!!

From Spokane, we flew to Portland to visit Troy (Clint's oldest brother), Sarah, Henry, and Arthur. The boys were so happy to see each other! They got right down to business, playing Jedi's and Legos.Henry picked out the most awesome birthday gift for Lucas!!The first night was Troy and Sarah's 10th anniversary, so we went out to dinner with one of their friends to celebrate. The restaurant was delicious, and I think that it was the first time I've been to a 30th story!!
Our first outing was a trip to the Portland Zoo. It is such a great zoo!! Kate loved the animals. She could have watched the bears all day!The zoo had a special dinosaur exhibit. We asked Lucas and Henry if they wanted to see it, and they said, "Yes! Yes! Whoo-hoo!" Once we got in there, Lucas clung to Clint, and Henry kept saying, "We gotta get outta here!" They were pretty scared. It was hilarious. The dinosaurs did look pretty real! They moved, roared, and spit!
We also took a train ride at the zoo.
Kate and Arthur held hands while riding in the car. The next day we went to The Enchanted Forest, an amusement park. It was sooo fun! It had kiddie rides and lots of little nursery rhyme houses.

The Crooked House-all of the floors and walls were slanted inside.
Lucas and Henry trying to escape the Crooked House. They didn't make it out!The boys with Gretal in front of the Seven Dwarves' house. The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe slide. There were really cool caves and underground tunnels to crawl through. Lucas went in them! I was surprised because they were pretty cramped and dark. Kate and Lucas outside the caves.
Lucas' favorite ride was The Challenge of Mondor. We got to shoot lots of creepy bad creatures. He kept his Splash Down and Enchanted Forest bracelets on for many days!
Lucas tried all of the kid rides!!! Again, I was impressed with his bravery! He doesn't really enjoy trying new things. Of course, he loved all of the rides once he tried them.He rode the Frog Jump over and over.Kate loved the train. She kept running back to the gate to get back on.
Eventually, the little kids pooped out in Sarah's cool stroller! It was such a fun day! If I lived in Portland, I would get an annual pass. The boys put on a Jedi show our final night. Kate and Artie got the best seat in the house--on the Time Out bench! A photo shoot of our beautiful children!!
I think we made a reference to changing a poopy diaper, hence Henry's face!
This is one of my favorite pictures of our whole vacation. They were saying every "naughty" word they could think of (poop, pee, etc.) and laughing hysterically.
Finishing off our rootbeers for us.
More videos!

And after all that fun, it was back to the airport to head to L.A. Thanks, Troy and Sarah!! We loved visiting you!
