Our main Halloween activity was our ward Trunk-or-Treat, but we participated in lots of Halloween fun!!!
Lucas and Max trying on their costumes for the first time. They were laughing so hard at themselves!
We went to Halloween Kids' Club, and then Tisha and I braved Chevy's with all of the kids. There were pretty good!!
Our friend Joi does the 13 Days of Halloween with her girls each year, and this year I got on the ball so we could do it too!! The first few days were really fun. Lucas loved counting down the days and pulling out a card that explained the day's activity. About day 7, Lucas decided that my activities were boring, and we were busy, so the whole thing fizzled out. Here are a couple of the activities we did:
The countdown chain
The countdown chain
Halloween spider cookies--idea from Jen! We left cookies and "doorbell-ditched" a couple of people. It was so much fun watching Lucas ring the doorbell and run!!
Make-your-own candy necklace
Lucas' elementary school had an awesome Halloween night!! They each got a bucketful of candy and had so much fun dancing to Thriller, playing Limbo, and hula-hooping!
Kate didn't usually say "Trick-or-treat!" She just held out her bucket!
I went to a witch party with some girls. We had such a great time eating, visiting, and playing games!
Used the same spider design to make little pudding pies for Dessert Sunday.
Halloween wouldn't be complete in Vegas without a trip to our "pumpkin patch."
We went to the library's Halloween Extravaganza. Each kid got to stand up in front of the group to show off their costume. It took forever, but the kids loved it! Kaitlin couldn't wait to get up there, but then she could only stare at the lady, who kept wanting her to spin. I had to help Kate off the stage, but she threw a tantrum on the way because she wanted to spin! :) So, I let her, and she was quite pleased with her one minute of fame.
Lucas said something in a great Mario voice and was very pleased with himself. It looks like the girls read books nicely, but most of the time they ran down the aisles and giggled!
On the actual night of Halloween, we trick-or-treated at Wyatt and Megan's and decorated Halloween cookies! Thanks, guys!
Whew!!! I think we're Halloween-ed out! Only now Kaitlin wants to wear her costume!! I had to wrestle her into it every time before Halloween! Hope you had a spooky Halloween!
