Most of our Easter celebration was held Saturday night. We had a bbq, Easter games, and an egg hunt with friends at the park.Bowling
For our game, we brought our marshmallow guns. The kids had to shoot a marshmallow through the Easter egg.
"Don't Crack the Egg" race
Basketball
Our targets for the marshmallows. The kids loved putting on the glitter!
Ready for the egg hunt!!
Kate got right in and started grabbing eggs, until one popped open by accident. Then she just wanted to eat candy! She is a total candy addict. She would take a piece of candy, run and play for awhile, and then run back, shouting, "Where's my suitcase? Where's my suitcase?" Hearing her say that (instead of Easter basket) was one of my favorite parts of the night. She is so cute.
Poor Lucas. He loves everything about the Easter holiday...all of the excitement! The problem for him is the end product--the candy! He just doesn't care about it at all. Next year we'll have to put popsicles in his Easter eggs!
Our Easter family picture. I forgot to take one in our Sunday clothes!!
The kids decided to have a race...so the parents got ready to peg the kids with marshmallows!
Lucas got a snack ready for the Easter bunny and wrote him a note of XOXO's.
The Easter bunny left clues for the kids to follow to find their Easter baskets. Lucas' favorite thing in his basket were his Silly Bands. They each got a little gumball machine and some bathtub finger paint, which Kaitlin says is "scary."
For Easter dinner, we had steak and potatoes and just took it easy! It was a very relaxed day.
