Kaitlin really liked her princess bed at Grandma's house. One night she tossed and turned soooo much. I eventually got up to see what she was doing...and she was gone! I couldn't find her anywhere! After a few minutes, I realized that she was still in the sleeping bag, but she had flipped the whole bed over, so she was laying on the floor underneath the air mattress! And she was still totally asleep.
We were able to go visit our friends, Jordan and Meg, and their cute kids. Clint knows Jordan from BYU, then they went to Touro together, and Jordan is also doing his residency in psychiatry.
Clint's Aunt Staci and her daughter Rachel came over for a bbq. We haven't seen them since I was pregnant with Lucas! It was great to catch up.
Josh and Kate took turns with Lucas' hat. Such cute kids!
The kids' table
Lucas, Kate, Rachel, Nana, and Josh
All of the ladies.
We were also able to see our friends JT and Britney. The kids invented a hilarious game. Luckily no one was injured!
And...we went to Disneyland!!!! Whoo! It was busy, but we still had a fun time!
Buzz Lightyear--Kate's not posing for pics.
Kate and I couldn't go on some of the more exciting rides, so we spent our time waiting to see characters. She loved Chip and Dale. I was surprised that she wasn't frightened!
Lucas and Kaitlin loved playing with their cousins so much. Nana and Nate brought them these gigantic swords. They had a great time climbing up the ivy hill in the backyard. They took all of the boogie boards up and let them slide down and fly off the 4 foot drop off. Luckily I was paying attention when Lucas tried to get Nana to sit on the boogie board and slide down the hill! He could not understand why it wouldn't be alright to slide off the drop off or just stop before they got there!
Uncle Tyler dressed up in his gear, which everyone loved, except for Kate and Josh.
Great-Grandpa Ron and Great-Grandma Kaye came over to visit.
The kids love to play "Tickle Monster" with Uncle Tyler. They could play alllllll day! Even Josh tried to get into the action! He kept tackling the pillows.
More Disneyland!
Lucas really wanted to be chosen as a "Padawan" for the Jedi show. We prepared by wearing his tunic and me thinking, "PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHOOSE HIM!" The Jedi Master chose the kid standing next to Lucas, so I was worried Lucas would be skipped over, but then the Jedi said, "The one who is already dressed as a Padawan!" WHEW!
Darth Vader tried to convince the young padawans to join the dark side.
Lucas fought Darth Vader, who said, "I have been waiting for you!" My video isn't that great because Darth Maul kept getting in the way!
I love this picture!
The highlight of the whole trip--seeing Kaitlin meet the Princesses!!!! She was so happy.
Kaitlin told Ariel that she liked her dress, and Ariel said, "Thank you! Prince Eric picked it out for me. He does have good taste!"
She loved Belle the best. Belle wanted to know what Kaitlin's favorite food was, and she said chocolate. Belle said, "The Beast loves chocolate too! He gets so messy!"
Kaitlin didn't want to leave! She probably would have been totally happy if I had left her there for the rest of the day!
We left the Princesses just in time to see everyone on the Small World boat!
Going to Disneyland with cousins was so great because they entertained each other in line!
Alice and the Mad Hatter
Our family watching the parade.
Exhausted on the tram ride out!
We made it home, happy and tired, and missing everyone already!
