*Kaitlin to Lucas: Good job, Lucas! You are such a big boy!
*Kaitlin to Lucas at his soccer practice: Go, Lucas! Yay!
*Kaitlin was watching the scene on the movie Up, where Russell is whining, "I have to go to the bathroom! I'm tired! My legs hurt!" He eventually flops over on the ground. Kaitlin said, "That's just like Lucas!" I laughed and laughed! Sorry, buddy! It must be true if your 2-year-old sister makes that connection!
*Kaitlin: I have an owie right here. I have a hole in my ear.
*Me: I love you, Katie Pie.
Kaitlin wrapped her arms around my neck, squeezed me tight, and said, "I love you too, Johnny."
*Lucas and his friends were building a "robot" out of scrap cardboard and wood. I was hesitant to give them hammers and nails, but eventually decided they were old enough to use them. A few minutes into their project, Lucas came in and said, "Mom, we also need a chainsaw and a knife." I put my foot down there!
*Kaitlin talks so much now. Some of it doesn't make sense and isn't true. The other day, she was talking about being sick in the middle of the night (which was not true). "And I was so sick, and I throw up in my bed. And I'm so cute. And I'm so sick."
*Kaitlin got out of her bed one evening, and said, "Mom, my leg hurts!" I started to get out the Tylenol because this is a common problem for Lucas, but her follow-up comment was, "Can I have some dinner?"
