Halloween-Part THREE!

Our ward Trunk-or-Treat!!  Clint was an army man (9th year in a row!) and I was a cowgirl.  Link ended up being a pumpkin!
Katie Pie with her friends, Santa and Hermione.
Clint with his friend, Neil the bowling pin!  :-)  I'm still laughing about that costume!
The pumpkin with his 3 little mommies.
The best part of our ward trunk-or-treat!!!  The kids all spend a ton of time on this ride!  (Hmmm, I just realized I didn't really get any pictures of Lucas because he was running all over with his friends)!
Cute Megan the bumblebee!
Lincoln hung out in the trunk.

Afterwards, we went to Logan and Laura's Halloween party!  They fed us yummy chicken noodle soup and treats.  Laura also had fun games and prizes for us!  The kids loved it.  Lucas tried to win just about every prize in the basket.
Ahhhh, finally Halloween night!  Halloween lasts forever around here, so by the time we finally make it to Halloween, the costumes are torn and dirty, but the candy seems to still be exciting!  We went to our friends house, Jake and Emily.  They were so nice to host a million of us!  We ate pizza and treats, and then went out trick-or-treating.
We could hardly keep up with the big kids!  They kept shouting, "Next house!" and running off.  After a couple of streets, Lucas started asking for water and saying he wanted to go back to the house.  He doesn't care much for candy anyway.  I called Clint to come get him.  (The husbands were all watching football).  Kaitlin was still going strong!  But when the van pulled up, a few extra kids jumped in, and she started to cry when she saw that someone might sit in her carseat!  So she headed back to the house too.
Kaitlin was so much fun to watch.  I could have gone trick-or-treating all night with her!  She was quick to pick up the "Next house" phrase!  She was running so fast to keep up that I could hardly get a picture of her.  At one house, there was an adult in a creepy costume standing up in a coffin.  He kept beckoning to the kids to come closer.  Lucas was totally freaked out, so we skipped that house!  Kaitlin talked about that man for the rest of the night!
I had so much fun teaching Lucas and Kaitlin how to sort their candy!  That was always my favorite part after trick-or-treating with my sisters and cousins.  We would lay out all of our candy to examine and trade, and we would attempt to ward off any adults trying to take our candy!  Lucas did lots of trading with me for Kit Kats.  Kaitlin is a fan of pretty much any candy!
I loved watching my kids and seeing their excitement!  We hope you had a Happy Halloween!
