Kaitlin is now a Sunbeam!!!  That means she comes to Primary on Sundays with Lucas and I instead of going to nursery.  In December, she came in during Singing Time to get used to coming into Primary.  She did a pretty good sitting still, but she would whisper across the room to me, "Mom!  Come here!  I want candy!"  When I told her no, she whispered loudly, "I don't like you!"  Her first official Sunday as a Sunbeam, she was perfect!  She sat quietly the whole time.  The next week, she cried and would not leave my side, so she sat in the front while I taught Sharing Time.  Now, she is finally going without a problem.  She loves her teachers, the Parkers, and she is really great about staying in her seat.  Last week, she whispered loudly to me, "Mom!  When we get home, can we paint my nails?"  She already knows a lot of the songs, and she came home one week talking about "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down" for making good or bad choices.  She is such a smart sweetie!

Lucas is now in CTR 6!  He is so attentive.  He would answer every question and be the helper every time, if we would let him.  He is a great singer and knows the words to every song.

We went hiking at Mt. Charleston with the Garmires, Woolfs, and Lys.  It was a perfectly sunny day, but when we got there, there was a freezing cold wind!!!  We explored the Visitors' Center and ate lunch at a picnic area.  It was fun to get out and do something different and active.

Neil took all of the little kids high up on the mountain!  What a brave guy!  Can you find them?  They all made it back safely, except for poor Ryu.  He had a little run-in with a cactus.  Eek.

*Lucas:  I just can't wait until I'm a dad.
Me:  Why do you want to be a dad so bad?
Lucas:  Ummmm....so I can boss my kids around.
Me:  Really?
Lucas:  Yeah.  And so I can be a FBI.

*We asked Kaitlin who she loved the most.  I was hoping the answer was me.  :-)  Too bad for me...the answer was Lucas!
*Kaitlin, sobbing:  Lucas!  You make my feelings cry!
