This is the longest break I've ever taken from our blog, so now I am completely overwhelmed!! And I can't SKIP things! So I'm starting small-baseball and dance.
Lucas' baseball team:
He did really well this season! He became a good batter. My favorite moment was when he hit the ball way into the outfield and he must have decided it was a home run because he started running those bases as fast as he could, even though the coach was telling him to hold at 2nd. Eventually, the coach caught up to him at 3rd and picked him up so he would stop! It was pretty funny. He was great at paying attention to the ball when he was outfield. He even got a couple of outs! The coach had two sons that he always kept on first and at the pitcher's mound, which was a bummer, because Lucas didn't get a lot of action. He usually complained about going because he said it was boring. He currently says soccer is his favorite sport. At least that keeps him moving.
He was on the Mudcats again this year - #1!
Kaitlin had her dance recital! We curled and hair-sprayed her hair (a first)! She held perfectly still. I skipped the make-up.
Kaitlin and her teacher, Miss Lori.
Kaitlin and Ellie - gorgeous girls!!!!!
Kaitlin's first dance (tap) had me crying because I was laughing so hard. She waved to us a lot, and then one of her classmates wouldn't get off of Kaitlin's tape. She did really well; no pushing or anything! She kept looking around for help and telling the girl to scoot over. Eventually, they figured it out. During her ballet dance, she watched her teacher so carefully and was perfect! She didn't have any stage fright. She loved having all of the attention for the night!
Running away so I couldn't take her picture.
Finale
We have some talented kids!!
