One of the days we went on an adventure to Dana Point. Lucas was so brave about touching the sea creatures!!! Wyatt brought out all kinds of things for the kids to see.
A starfish
Wyatt took us on a hike to find the pirate cave the boys used to play in when they were little. It ended up being quite a ways, so only Wyatt, Claire, Henry, Nana, Lucas, Kate, and I made here. On the way we passed a dead sea lion. It smelled SO BAD. Link catching a ride before they decided the hike was too long!Wyatt finally found the cave. We thought it had disappeared! The kids gave a cheer for their hero, Uncle Wyatt. Luckily, the pirates were not home.
Touching a sea anemone.
Wyatt found a sea cucumber. (I think that is what it was). He kept telling Trevor that if he caught a fish he had to lick it, so we held Wyatt to the same standard.
So many exciting things to see!
On our walk back from the cave, Kaitlin found some "pirate teeth!" She then told me in great detail what we would do to the pirates if we found them - kick them in the pee pees, cut their heads off, etc. And she looks so sweet! :-)
Putting on a show for me, while we walked down off the trail to avoid the deathly dead sea lion smell.
The brown pelicans
Our happy babies!!!

We stopped for an ice cream treat. I tried to get a good pic of his fangs!
We also took an outing to the street fair, where we found some bounce houses!
The kids got little guitars for souvenirs, and they put on some pretty rocking concerts!
