Mt. Charleston

This month Clint has Peds ER, and his schedule consists of days, nights, graveyards, and odd days off. So, we decided to do something fun since we were lucky enough to have Clint home with us on Thursday. We went up to Mt. Charleston and had a picnic at Cathedral Rock.

The scenery was AWESOME! The Aspens are my favorites. The leaves are so amazing.

Lucas had lots of fun throwing the pinecones back into the forest where they belonged. It was a never-ending job, but somebody had to do it! While we were there we practiced our Kids' Club "routine." Slide back!!
Lucas gave us lots of hugs and kisses, which was quite a messy experience. He was covered in boogers, dirt, chocolate, and Cheetoes. After hugging Clint, Lucas said, "Like it? Like it, Daddy?" And Clint said, "No!" It was so funny.

As we were getting ready to leave I noticed someone taking a picture of us. It was so weird! It ended up being some reporters for the Las Vegas Review Journal writing an article about Cathedral Rock. They interviewed us, so now we're in the newspaper! Read the article here.

It was a wonderful family activity in a beautiful place! Hopefully we'll make ourselves get out and see more places since Clint only has 7 1/2 months until graduation!!!!!

I love that family picture at the top of this post, it's my favorite! If they do an article on you, you'll have to tell us where to find it so we can read it!
