Park Heaven!

We have finally reached park season again! The weather here is great, so we've been going to the park everyday. Lucas has been very brave at the park. He now climbs every ladder and will go down every slide! That's kind of scary for us! He even wants to swing across the monkey bars. Holding a 30 pound kid above my head is NOT an easy job! The ice cream truck came by the park, so we each got a popsicle. Lucas ate both of his and then he wanted to "try" mine.On our walk home from the park, Lucas was eating raisins for a snack. Here's our conversation while we walked:

Dog barking

Lucas: Doggy eat raisins?
Me: No, doggies eat doggy food.
Lucas: Doggy eat raisins?
Me: No, doggies eat doggy food. Raisins will make them sick. Doggy food is kind of like cereal.
Lucas: Doggy eat fries?
Me: Noooooo!
Lucas: Doggy eat hamburger? Laughs
Me: Noooooo! That will make doggies sick!
Lucas: Still laughing Doggy eat nuggets?
Me: Nooooo! They eat doggy food! It's kind of like cereal!
Lucas: Oh. Doggy eat cereal. Kind of.

Long pause...

Lucas: Doggy eat raisins?

Silly kid! We're happy to be playing outside again!!!

Glad you are having fun at the park Lucas. Leo is back at the also and loving it, but he is still missing the pool.

I don't know why, but when I was reading your conversation with Lucas and he asked about the nuggets, I thought of "chicken dip". It made me laugh!

Luke is so smart! I can't wait till Carson can talk to us!

It's so nice to be able to go out of the house during the middle of the day. We too are spending more time at the park and in the back yard. Lucas is such a cute boy and getting so grown up. Holly especially loves Lucas; they bonded in Sunbeams.

I just have to laugh at what Lucas says. He is so smart. I couldn't believe it; when he came over to our house he found the Disney Cars and proceeded to explain to Treyson what all the names were. And if Treyson would disagree or try to add a comment. Lucas would say-- NO Treyson-- It's Doc. I love it when they have conversations.
