Spokane Trip!

Lucas, Kate, and I went to Spokane last week to visit my family. We started out our trip by enjoying the cooler weather!!! We sat outside on grass, played croquet, and blew bubbles! I was in 1st place in our croquet game, but I blew it in the end and came in 4th! I love that game. Kaitlin wasn't so sure about the grass!
We also got to spend a day with the Wynn's! The kids were so happy to see each other! It was fun to visit and see their new home.
Kaitlin checking out cute Kambree. Kaitlin looked like a giant next to her!
We also went over to Manito Park to visit the Japanese Gardens where the kids meditated quietly. Yeah, right. :)
I didn't let Kaitlin get down on the ground, so she decided to scale the bench!
Our whole week was crazy! Next stop, Silverwood, our local theme park. It's fun to take Lucas to the places where I "grew up." The day didn't start out so well--it was hot and Lucas was grumpy and did not want to ride on anything. Silverwood also has a water park, so we swam and floated down the lazy river. While we were there, Lucas said, "Mommy, look at the man! He's really fat." Lots of times, since I kept trying to quiet him down!

Eventually I bribed Lucas into a ride. He rode on the log ride, which he didn't end up liking because I forgot to mention the large hill at the end. I'm so mean. About the time we were ready to leave, he finally warmed up and started having fun!
Kaitlin had fun, too!
I went on my 2 favorite rides-the Tilt-o-Whirl and the Super Round Up. I also went on the Aftershock, the best rollercoaster ever. So the day ended on a good note!

Stay tuned for lake pics!
