Fun With Great Grandparents

My grandparents came to visit us for a few days. They came bearing new toys and clothes!! The kids had so much fun with Lucas' new Buzz gun bubble shooter, and Kate got a set of musical instruments. One day we ran ourselves ragged visiting 3 casinos! First we went to the Bellagio for the Chinese New Year Gardens and the fountains.So beautiful!!!

Then we set off for the Mirage where Wyatt got us into the Secret Garden for cheap! Thanks, Wyatt! We really loved it! It wasn't very big, but the animals were right there. Soooo cool. We saw dolphins, lions, tigers, alpacas, jaguars, and a panther. We also saw a tiny mouse running around. Lucas kept crying about it and wanting me to hold him, and Kaitlin chased the mouse!! :) So then Lucas cried in fear and worry!
Then we went to the Rio and ate at the Carnival World Buffet. It's half price for NV residents right now. Yum! What a busy day.

We took it a bit easier the next day and just went one place-the Natural History Museum. They have a new King Tut exhibit from the Luxor which was neat. Lucas liked learning that the Egyptians didn't have $ and had to trade for what they needed. We also thought it was interesting that Egyptian children didn't wear clothing until they were 6! :)Lucas is so brave now! He didn't even think twice about petting the lizard or holding snake skin.

Besides all of our exciting outings, we did a fun Valentine's activity, played a million games, and put my grandparents to work doing odd jobs around our house. We now have fully functioning smoke alarms, towel bars, and screen on our screen door!Thanks for coming, Grandpa and Grandma! We love having you here with us.
