Lucas Time

*"Mom, look what I can do!!!" (Blinking his eyes rapidly). "I can talk and blink at the same time!"

*At church in CA: After the prayer in sacrament meeting, Lucas said, in a loud whisper, "He didn't do a really good job on the prayer." Clint said, "What wasn't very good about it?" Lucas replied, "He was really old."

*Lucas: Aunt Sarah said I can't grow up.
Me: I agree. Quit growing up.
Lucas: I can't.
Me: Why not?
Lucas: I have to grow up so I can get my night vision.
(Uncle Leo taught Lucas that when you become an adult, you have night vision).

*At the mall food court: Look, Mom! He has no hand! (Lucas was close enough to the man in the wheelchair to sit in his lap while pointing this out).

*This morning, when Kaitlin woke up, she yelled for Lucas. I love it!!! She calls him "Gookah." She also "yelled" at him for the first time using his name yesterday after he knocked her over.

*Lucas: Mom, let's get a dog today.
Me: I don't think we can. Our yard's not big enough, and Daddy doesn't want a dog.
Lucas: Daddy can just go to work.

*During his nighttime prayers:
-Please help us do the gospel the way Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to do it.
-Please bless that we can go live with Heavenly Father and Jesus sometime soon.
-Please help people believe in Jesus.

*Grandma Teri: Lucas, I know you like the magic marker coloring, so whenever I see a package on sale, I buy it for you!
Lucas: I think you should buy me some expensive Legos.
