Kate - 18 Months!

Our sweet Kate is 18 months!!! She is growing up way too quickly! Here are somethings about her!

Some of her favorite toys are her puppy and her stroller. She also loves to play whatever her brother is playing, especially Legos and Wall-E on the Leapster. She loves to read books and color. She is also completely content to play on her own. She wanders around the house and finds all sorts of ways to entertain herself!
Here she is at 18 months. I love her curls!!*Kate loves her blankies!! She likes to lay them out and then lay on them. When she goes to sleep, she puts them over her face and tickles her face with the corner. She likes her binky more and more each day! I try to just give it to her when she's in her bed, but it doesn't always work out that way! She knows where it is and tries to get it!

*Katie Pie is such a great sleeper! She has started to say, "No!" about going to bed sometimes, but as soon as we close the door, she goes right to sleep. She rarely wakes up during the night. She sleeps from about 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. She naps once a day for 2-3 hours.

*Animal sounds she can make: elephant, snake, cat, dog, cow, pig, dinosaur, monkey, duck, frog, bird

*Any animal that she is not familiar with says, "Roar!"

*Anyone in a costume says, "Ho ho ho!"

*Other sounds she can make: Darth Vader's breathing, pretend snoring and crying

*She likes to hit! If we even say the words "time out," she knows exactly what to do! She runs to the corner and starts to cry. I guess she has seen Lucas do it a time or two!
*She is missing all of her eye teeth, but she has her molars.

*If you ask her for a hug or a kiss, she says no most of the time! When she kisses or hugs us on her own, it's a real treat!

*If I give her a snack, she stands next to me saying, "Gucas!" until I give her a snack for him too. Then she delivers it to him! (She may or may not take a little taste of it on the way)!

*She likes Elmo, but she doesn't watch t.v. for more than about 5 minutes.

*If Lucas can do it, so can she!

*She can spin, jump, gallop, and run pretty fast! One of her favorite moves is to balance with her head and feet on the ground.

*If she's hungry, she'll eat most foods. Her favorite things are pop, apple juice, candy, carrots, cheese, pretzels, and anything that her Daddy is eating.

*Kate's first full ponytail

-She woke up in the middle of the night after Easter. While we were laying quietly in bed in the dark, we heard, "Nanny. Nanny." (Candy)

-When we go to the park, we take a blanket and a picnic lunch. One evening we went to the park after dinner. I brought our blanket for us to sit on. As soon as I spread it out, she ran over, sat down, and said, "Food! Food!"

We love, love, love our sweet Kate. She bring us so much happiness, joy, and laughter!
