Lincoln's 1st Birthday

Lincoln turned one on July 29th.  Oh, my baby!!!!  How did he get so big!!
Such a handsome birthday boy!
We had chicken, hot dogs, chips, and fruit for dinner.
 Brooke, Lucas, and Nana
 Kaitlin, Cooper, Josh, and Nate
Britney, JT, Jim, Clint, Claire, Tyler, and Kameron
Nana, Brooke, Nate, Lucas, Josh, and Kaitlin
The big kids played Pin the Tail on the Donkey and decorated their own tails.
 His birthday theme was "Sports."
The balloons were a big hit!
We tried to get a picture of the birthday boy with his cake, but he had a different agenda.
Yay!  The cake is finally within reach!!!  He wasn't exactly sure what to do with it once he had it.  Eventually, he got his hands messy, ate some of the cake, and mushed it all up.  Sometimes he would skip his hands and just dig in with his mouth.
Lucas thought his present from Nana, Nathan, and Josh was jaw-dropping!!!  He made the best faces.  He wasn't quite sure how to completely open his gifts, but he had lots of helpers!
He got a train and clothes from Grandpa and Grandma.  We got him a Thermos (he knew just what to do with it-he has been trying to steal his siblings' Thermos' forever), a walker, and a xylophone.  He barely got to play with his toys, due to all of the other eager, little hands.
Hand-made cards from cousins.
At 12 months, Lincoln has 8 teeth, crawls all over, and still wakes up once at night.  He is great at going to sleep in his crib, but not anywhere else.  He loves to have his binky and little soft blankie when he goes to sleep.  He loves bath time.  He is a really great eater; he'll eat anything that we are.  He especially loves cheese, pretzels, fruit roll-ups, popsicles, strawberries, apples, and juice.  He does not like milk.  He thinks his brother and sister are so funny. But he's learning to yell (and sometimes cry) when they take something from him.  He loves me the best, but he is also okay without me!  Some of his skills are:
-waving "hi" to everyone and everything-wall, crib, animals, car, etc.
-sliding down the stairs on his belly
-blowing kisses
-making Indian noises on his mouth
-pointing and tapping to pictures in his stories
-saying "dadadadada"

We all love him so much!  He is so adorable.  He makes us all smile and laugh.  Happy Birthday, Lincoln!
