Lucas' 7th Birthday

Lucas has been obsessed with Power Rangers, thanks to Netflix.  He has been able to watch all of the different seasons - Jungle Fury, Samurai, etc.  It was an easy choice for him to decide on his birthday theme!  We found a place online to print masks.

Each kid at the party got to color their own mask.

We defeated the Moogers with water balloons.  (Pictures on the wall).  We also ran obstacle courses.  Nana, Madison, Audrey, Anna, Lucas, Brayden, Nathan

Lucas received lots of Legos and Power Ranger gear.  It was fun to watch him open his presents this year.  He was excited, polite, and grateful, even for clothes! (See video).

At 7 years old, here are some things about Lucas:
-He no longer eats mostly pb and honey sandwiches.  In fact, he now hates them and will only eat turkey and cheese sandwiches.  His diet mostly consists of sandwiches, chicken and rice, mac & cheese, chicken noodle soup, and, at a restaurant, chicken and fries.  He does like strawberries, apples, corn, and chocolate chip granola bars.  He can never get enough pretzels, popcorn, and ice cold water!
-He's a great sleeper, but wakes up early!  He sleeps from about 8 p.m. until 5 or 6 a.m.  He sleeps in the crack between his mattress and his wall, not ON the mattress.
-Some of his favorite books are Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Magic Tree House, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Superfudge, and Mercer Mayer books.
-He is the BEST student!  He gets straight A's, works quickly in class, stays on task, is a good helper for his teacher and other students, and never gets in trouble!  He said he's the top reader in his class again this year.  We are so proud of him.
-He wants to be an FBI agent when he grows up.
-He likes to play Power Rangers with his sister, with Clint and I as Moogers.
-He loves to ride his bike and scooter.
-He is still not a fan of dogs, but he will pet our neighbors cat!
-He is the best singer in Primary!  He loves to bear his testimony in Sacrament meeting.
-His newest love is four square.  He plays it every recess and wants to play as soon as he gets home.
-He said, "Lincoln is so cute, I just can't resist him!"

We are so glad Lucas is our son.  We are very proud of him and love him to pieces.  Happy 7th Birthday, Lucas!
