Lincoln - 6 Weeks

Here is our little Link at 6 weeks.  His eyes still cross sometimes!  He is starting to smile and coo when he can find a face.  His first smiles were on Labor Day--first at Leah, and then at me.  Seeing his sweet smile and hearing his voice is the best thing in the world.  Lucas was the first one to his crib the other morning, and Lincoln was smiling so big at him.  I loved watching them together.  Another time, Lucas tried to lift him to a sitting position, and Lincoln let out a long moan.  He wasn't upset, just making noise while Lucas lifted him.  It surprised Lucas and he laughed for so long about it!  Kaitlin is too wiggly, so Link doesn't smile at her very often because he can't see her!  Whenever I get her to hold still for a minute, she always says, "Look!  He's mad at me!" and then she runs off before he can even focus on her!
Look at those chubby cheeks!  Kaitlin often tells people, "My baby brother has chubby cheeks."  At his 6 week check-up, he weighed 13 lbs. 10 oz. and was 23 inches long.  The doctor also pulled off his cord while we were there!!  It was on for 6 1/2 weeks!!!  He finally had a full bath at 7 weeks old.
He has been such a sleepy baby!  He already has fallen into a schedule.  He likes to go sleep around 8 or 9, then he'll sleep for 5 hours, then 3 more, and then 2 more.  During the day, he mostly stays asleep from about 9-3, just waking up to eat.  He eats about every 3 hours.  I have been training him to fall asleep by himself in his bed...as long as we're home!  He ends up sleeping a lot in his carseat.
Being home with Lincoln and Kaitlin is such fun.
Lincoln is the easiest, sweetest baby!  And on top of his wonderful personality, he doesn't spit up!!!  He literally has spit up 4-5 times.  His biggest spit up was all over Lucas.  :)

Watching him learn to smile and coo is so funny.  He opens and closes his mouth, sticks his tongue out, and moves his body like he's trying to force some air out.  He's really getting the hang of it!
We are definitely keeping this guy!  People often ask Lucas and Kaitlin if they can take Lincoln home, and the kids always say, "No way!"
